Rose & CrownBarnsley Road,
Set back on the bend in the road through the village. This small gem of a pub offers the real ale drinker a choice of up to four real ales, with at least one being from the local area. The local CAMRA branch awarded the Pub with Autumn Pub of the Season in 2015, and well deserved too as the landlady, who came into the pub in August 2013, quickly made the pub open all day and it has become a true village traditional pub again. The pub opens at 10am selling tea, coffee, sandwiches and newspapers. Food is served from 12 onwards and Sunday lunch from 12.30.
