Mill Of The Black Monks81 Grange Lane,
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Re-opened in 2018 after change of owners. The new local owners have reintroduced a drinkers bar "Watering Hole". Food is served from 9am. Sunday lunch is split into servings, 12noon, 2pm and 4pm. The pub picked up a special CAMRA pub design award in 1991 in special conservation category. The building is around 900 years old (built in 1154) and has graffiti dating back hundreds of years. The pub is split over 4 levels from the basement room and toilets, through to the rafters area above the main bar. The gents toilets have a resident ghost, but I haven't met up with him yet.
